Meet the SRDC Leadership Team

Heather Pack, Executive Director
Heather is originally from New Jersey and considers herself to be a lifelong summer camper! As a child, she attended Pine Grove Day Camp, where her mother worked for many years, and then attended Timber Lake West Overnight Camp for two summers. After graduating with her B.A. from Indiana University, Heather moved to Washington, D.C., to work on Capitol Hill. In 2001, she moved to Las Vegas and worked for United States Senator Harry Reid. Heather and her husband Ed have three children, Ellie, Ari and Henry, who all share Heather's passion for camp. Heather officially joined the SRDC staff in 2012 as SRDC’s first Registration Coordinator and in 2014, she became the full-time Executive Director. Heather is active in other community outreach and fundraising programs within the Las Vegas community.

Amanda Campbell, Program Director
Amanda is a graduate of Arizona State University where she studied elementary education. She now teaches 5th grade in the Clark County School District. She has worked at SRDC for 13 years where she started as a kindergarten group counselor. Amanda loves relaxing and watching Netflix. She also loves vacationing in Disneyland with her family. Amanda creates the daily and closing circle programming. She is also the creative mind behind all of our camp events and spirit days. Amanda is the HEART of SRDC.

Lauren Vogel Freedman, CIT Director/Behavior Specialist
Lauren has a B.A. in psychology and a master’s degree in education. She is in private practice as a behavior specialist and certified life coach. Lauren has worked at SRDC for 12 years as the CIT Director and she’s also our onsite behavior specialist. Lauren is married with four kids (all SRDC campers) who keep her extremely busy. When she’s not running after them, or keeping all of her co-workers laughing with her great sense of humor, she enjoys ...sleep! She loves working with pre-teens and is looking forward to mentoring and being a positive role model.

Rina Sterling, Specialist Director
Ever wonder who gives out all those lanyards at camp? Meet Rina Sterling. Rina is our Specialist Director as well as SRDC’s arts and crafts specialist. Rina has a bachelor’s degree in religion/fine arts and a master’s degree in early childhood education. Rina has been a CCSD art teacher for the last 22 years. Rina's roots in camp are deep; she attended day camp and sleep away camp throughout her childhood. Rina and her husband Ryan have two children, Lev and Tzofiya, who are also longtime campers.
